Statement: First, I should mention: I am a potter striving to create signature pieces.
Secondly(my philosophy): I sure hope this can be revised! At a later date when the dog's not barking, the phone's not ringing, the doorbell chimes are stilled, my head's not buzzing, the neighbor's not hollaring, the radio's not blaring, the TV's not babbling, the cat's not yowling, the cricket's not chirruping, the rooster has stopped his cackling ....
It's taken me all this time to get the courage to glaze and fire this piece.
It's been sitting in a place of honor for a very long time and folks would come in and say: "I can't wait to see this when it's finished."
But i was afraid that i'd make a mistake and ruin it.
Bailey Pottery Equip Corp: at http://www.baileypottery.com OR call (800) 431-6067 and speak with Susan. I would do more business with this company except it is out on the east coast and shipping fees to the Pacific Northwest are spendy.
Bullseye Glass Co: at http://www.bullseyeglass.com OR call (888) 220-3002. This is a great company to do business with! Very friendly and helpful. For those of you who wish to incorporate glass into your clay products, i highly recommend this company.
Clay King Company: at http://www.clay-king.com OR call (888) 838-3625 and speak with Chris Williams who is extremely patient with all your questions. He's a dear. The company consistently sells major pottery equipment at below market price. They are punctual in shipping, efficient (emailing receipts and tracking #'s immediately) and just a lovely group to work with.
Coyote Clay & Color: at http://www.coyoteclay.com OR call (866) 344-2250 and speak with Martin. Their speciality is Cone 6 glazes.
Georgies Ceramic & Clay Company: at http://www.georgies.com OR call (800)999-2529. This company produces awesomely versatile clay.
Paragon Kiln Company: I would not recommend this company. Bought a brand new electric digital-programmer kiln from them and 4 months later it stopped functioning correctly. They do not stand behind their products and their "warranty" is a joke.
U.S. Pigment Corp: at http://www.uspigment.com OR call (800) 472-9500 and speak with Saheeb. This company sells hard-to-find oxides and has reasonable prices. Saheeb is a joy to work with and seems to genuinely care about you and your success.
