Streamly Short

Hey folks!
Have been in the process of moving to a new house which is an extremely chaotic process. Kilns are not hooked up yet (one requires a different plug-in recepticle; the other is a bit more complicated). The garage where i plan to create and fire the pottery is a jumbled mass of boxes and disorder.
Am chewing nails about the lost "down-time" from working!
However, keep tuned. Eventually all will resolve itself.
In the meantime - Happy Pottery Days.

Chae, as you know "I've been there" and am doing that. We finally got the bookcases we needed so I am in the process of emptying the MANY boxes still residing in my house--it has only been 8 months! But I hope to have those boxes empty and out of the house by the end of next week. Good luck, hang in there, keep a stiff upper lip and all that stuff! Fondly, Gay

Mornin' Gay !!!
Books! I love books. Except when trying to move. My kids wanted to know why i wouldn't part with any of them as they eyed the boxes of mostly hard-bound books. Mid-way through lifting and carrying the heavy boxes, i was nearly wondering the same thing!
A stiff upper lip is definately needed at this point in time . . . can't find nary a thing.
Am mostly in the new house; still have to clean the old. Find places for everything and organize.
One "sweet" visual this morning: colorful hot-air balloons flew low-in-the-sky over the back yard. Had just watched the full moon set in the west and dawn was breaking in the east. Nice way to start the day in a new place.

Moving has a way of upsetting all routines. I used to love to move since it was a good way to purge all the junk, but it's not so much fun now.

Good luck and no worries, your work will be there when you get it set up.

Thanks Cynthia
I just feel like a lot of time has been lost (which isn't a surplus commodity at my age) and my frustration is showing.
You're right. Things will perk up once the chaos is in some semblance of order.
